Nov 14, I hadn't used cheats on games in ages, but recently dipped back in for Nioh 2 and Code Vein. I gave myself enough leveling currency to bump myself up enough to beat some bosses I struggled with. Totally worth it as it saved me a lot of farming time because there was no way I was going to play some of those bosses perfectly especially in Code Vein since bosses will change their targets without warning.
I felt a bit bad about it at first, but quickly let that go. I figure it's worth more to actually get through the game by whatever means necessary rather than quit out of frustration. May 9, I just used cheats to beat FF II.
Stupid Death Riders were hitting me for damage and healing themselves for , making it impossible to go through the last dungeon even though I was really overpowered leading up to it. I didn't bother at all with it and then I suddenly had to go through floors. Fuck that. I used cheat engine to warp to the top with no regrets. One big reason I'm considering getting a gaming PC is being able to use stuff like that to finally beat games like Hollow Knight or Dark Souls. Last Recode: Played on "Cheater Mode" which is in in-game feature pretty similar to what I used a save editor for for the Trail games, starting you off at max level for each game with end-game gear and stuff. Just was not my genre at all and it's one of those things I only bought because of how much everyone else talked it up but yeah didn't really care for the gameplay itself due to stuff like that, and was actually able to have some fun by turning that stuff on and ended up enjoying it that way.
Same deal with Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines. Didn't really care for the combat in the game at all nor systems like managing blood or anything like that so used console commands to enable godmode and give me all the items I needed so I could just focus on playing my particular character my particular way and just enjoying the story and role-playing it out and stuff.
